Birnbeck Pier, Weston super Mare
Birnbeck Pier is an important of both weston’s heritage and of the national stock of piers but it is is closed and decaying. There is adanger that if nothing is soon done to repair it, the pier will collapse inotthe sea as have several other piers around the country over the last 30 years. Prometheus has been chosen to lead a team which will research and identify a sustainable use or set of uses which will provide a future for the pier to underpin the case for funding to repair it.
